Torrevieja is a coastal city south of the province of Alicante. Within the district of Vega Baja. Its municipal borders in the north to Guardamar del Segura, Rojales and west Benijófar, southwest Montesinos and San Miguel de Salinas and south to the beaches of Orihuela.


It is located 41 kilometers from Alicante to the north, 23 Elche to the northwest and 53 southeast of Murcia. And if something you are forced out of the city of Torrevieja which has a protected Natural Park with two salt lakes, which represents 55% of the municipality. It is also required to cite its 20 miles of coast with six great beaches, La Mata, Cabo Cervera, Los Locos, El Cura, The Castaway and Ferris, and scores of coves with an abundance of cliffs. Its climate is temperate continental with mild winters and mild summers, with temperatures ranging between 18 and 25 degrees for most of the year. In recent years, the city of Torrevieja has become the economic capital of the district of Vega Baja. Its municipal register is located next to the 100,000 registered inhabitants, from all over Spain and more than 180 countries, reaching over half a million people residing in the city during the summer months. It has also become one of the first cities in Spain in the model of secondary residence. The city is a champion of pioneering international projects such as Relaxation Spa, which is holding the Japanese architect Toyo Ito or the International Conservatory of Music with special reserve for the disabled, which carries a cutting-edge audience that also will be held congresses.
